VACCINATIONS

The following vaccines are required for grooming services: DHPP, Bordetella (Kennel Cough), and Rabies. We require proof that these vaccinations are current before any services can be rendered. By signing this agreement, owners verify their dog(s) is current on the listed vaccinations or current Titer testing shall be provided as well as current veterinarian information.

PET AND GROOMING SAFETY

It is the responsibility of the pet owner to advise the groomer of any known bite/aggression history. It is understood that for the safety of the pet and groomer certain tools (muzzles, elastic collars, groomers helpers, any humane restraint as recognized as standard in the grooming industry, etc) will be humanely used and are acceptable. The colorful canine reserves the right to refuse/stop service for any reason before or during the grooming process, and charge an aggressive dog fee, in addition to the regular grooming charge. Customers understand that all bites will be reported to the local authorities as required by law. The undersigned is aware that if their pets do not respond to the groomer and remain still during the process, accidents may occur such as nicks from clippers, scissors, or toenail trippers. For the pet(s) to properly respond to the groom it is essential that the pet(s) be alone with the groomer and guests will not be allowed to assist in any grooming unless requested to do so. If you suspect your dog(s) has fleas or ticks, prompt and thorough action is needed. A parasite infestation can lead to other health problems. If more than 6 fleas are found at check-in, the service will be refused. If fleas or ticks are found during the groom, there will be an additional charge to property treat your dog.

PUPPIES

We want your puppy to associate grooming as a positive experience! In order to encourage this, your puppy’s 1st haircut is not guaranteed. We will only go as far as the puppy is comfortable without sacrificing their trust in us. Basic discipline and brushing at home makes a visit to the groomer a much happier experience!

SENIOR DOGS

Sometimes grooming can cause our geriatric pets mental or physical stress. We use extra care and patience, but if it is determined that brushing or clipping is causing to much stress to the pet(s) we will modify or terminate the haircut. Please notify us of any conditions that may make your pet(s) uncomfortable during the bathing ,drying, or clipping phases

HEALTH CONDITIONS/MEDICAL PROBLEMS

Your dog’s safety and comfort are our primary objectives. Please advise us of any allergies, sensitivities, or pre-existing medical conditions so we can be cognizant of them during the groom. The Colorful Canine will not be held responsible for any expense, monetary or otherwise, incurred by the owner due to pre existing conditions or injuries. The Colorful Canine understands that some dogs are extremely sensitive to certain aspects of the grooming process (nail trimming/ear cleaning etc). It is never our intent to cause your pet undue stress or discomfort. These are routine procedures normally performed for the well being of the pet(s) we will not continue with any grooming procedure that will cause pain or discomfort to the pet(s) or harm to the groomer. Any sensitive areas such as ears or nails will be left for your veterinarian. The pet parent understands that while these grooming aspects are included in the price of a groom, a groom is not itemized. There will not be a discounted price for any aspect of a groom that the groomer is unable to finish due to the dog(s) discomfort.

Senior Dogs

Grooming procedures can sometimes be stressful for senior dogs with health problems. These procedures can expose hidden or aggravate known medical problems, during or after the groom. Senior dogs with health problems have a greater chance of injury. These dogs will be groomed for cleanliness and comfort and in a way that will not add to their stress. In the interest of your dog, this agreement will give The Colorful Canine permission to obtain immediate medical treatment for your dog should it be deemed necessary by The Colorful Canine. We will make our best effort to contact you first, then take your dog to the nearest veterinarian available. It is agreed upon that the expenses for veterinary care will be covered by the dog’s owner upon signing this agreement.

MAT REMOVAL

Dogs with matted coats need extra attention during their grooming session. There is an extra charge for mat removal that will be discussed at the check-in assessment.

PHOTOS

I hereby consent my pent to be photographed and I AUTHORIZE The Colorful Canine employees, agents, or authorized representatives to use, reproduce, publish, transmit, distribute, and display said photographs for The Colorful Canine display, advertisement, website, or other material for promotional purposes. Images are the sole property of The Colorful Canine. The use of images remains loyalty free indefinitely on a voluntary basis and is not considered for hire.

PICK UP

Your groomer will do their very best to have the groom done at the time stated at check-in. If the groom is not quite finished when you arrive, please do not speak to your dog or draw the dog’s attention to you. If possible, we ask that you wait outside or in your vehicle until the groom is done. If you are running late for your pick up time please call the salon to advise the groomer. We are not a boarding facility, and we are not equipped to care for your dog long term. If you are late to retrieve your dog there will be a $30 per half hour you are late.

PRICING/PAYMENT

Grooming prices will vary from animal to animal. Our groomers will do our best to anticipate and estimate the cost to the best of their ability. A final price may differ from the estimate due to variables such as (but not limited to) coat condition and actual haircut chosen. All prices are non negotiable and subject to change without notice All payment must be made in full for grooming services rendered at the time of pick up. Any insufficient fund/returned checks will receive a $25 fee in addition to any fees charged by the financial institutions. Checks will no longer be an acceptable payment if this occurs.

NO SHOW/CANCELLATION

Cancellations with less than 24 hours notice will be considered a no-show for your appointment. The credit card on file will be charged 50% of the price of the scheduled groom. Three no-show incidents will result in a restriction to walk-in services (nails, teeth, or touch ups)

SATISFACTION GUARANTEE

The Colorful Canine has every confidence you will be 100% satisfied with the services provided at our salon. If there is something you are unhappy with please contact us directly within 5 days so we can make it right free of charge! By agreeing to this contract you agree to release The Colorful Canine, its owners, operators, employees, officers, and directors from any and all liabilities, financial and otherwise, for injuries or claims arising from any condition of the undersigned pet(s), either known or unknown to The Colorful Canine, which may arise in any way from services provided or as a consequence or association with The Colorful Canine including but not limited to veterinary bills. The undersigned also consent to and authorize the grooming of their pet(s), while acknowledging the risks associated with pet grooming, It is also understood and agreed upon the terms of this agreement can change at any time, without notice, and will overwrite all prior signed contracts or releases. I, the undersigned guest, do hereby entrust my pet(s) to The Colorful Canine for their grooming and have read and understand and agree to the above terms and my rights and obligations for the grooming and maintenance of my pet(s) and in consideration of the grooming services of The Colorful Canine .
